Ah, life has taken me on a ride
and I haven’t been able to post about John’s b’day.
Both celebrations were delightful.
Although, you can see, he did not like his hat.
Chocolate cake was not a big winner either.
But he loved his presents – after all, who will turn down a new toy?
and he adored playing with his cousins
although little Laura wasn’t so thrilled with him.
at the end of the day we had a very tired boy!
On a side note: the only thing about John to identify him as my son is his thumb sucking and ear rubbing.
I did the exact same thing as a child.
JK did not.
Now, tell me which gene tells you to suck your thumb! Bizarre!

First birthdays are indeed very big
Happy birthday to John!
I also have a child who does not resemble me in the slightest. She is her father’s child for sure!
I’d love to get together with you sometime. Maybe we could meet up at a farmer’s market? That is one of my favorite weekly pastimes as well.
