Hello Knitters!

What a week it has been! For those of you across the sea, Indianapolis hosted the Superbowl this past weekend… but it was a party leading up to the big day.

Little Indy has been planning for this event for three years and by many accounts it was a huge success. One of the factors leading to such a successful turnout was the fact that Indy is within driving distance of some major cities like Chicago, Cincinnati and St. Louis.

I had high hopes of going downtown and seeing the sites… but I never made it. Little John and I batted the sniffles all last week with me finally succumbing to a second case of the sniffles yesterday. This has been a very difficult year for sniffles for us.

But nightly JK would bring back reports from the events in the city.  As a newspaper guy he was out on the streets interviewing people coming in from out of town and on the phone interviewing the wonderful folks putting on the event. It was really a lot of fun to hear the whole saga as it unfolded.

I sent my camera down with JK one day to capture it for me – especially the zipline which I really wanted to ride. But the sniffles and the 7-hour-wait kept me off the zipline…. at least this year.

Did any of you go to the Superbowl or visit the Superbowl Village?
